Mattie’s Austin is an Austin Wedding Venue located just south of the Bouldin Creek neighborhood near the intersection of Oltorf and S 1st St. This is a perfect location for couples looking for something centrally located in Austin. This Austin wedding venue is nestled inside a residential neighborhood and the property is filled with heritage oaks. The building itself has a long history dating back to 1916. It has seen several remodels and in its current state operates as a full service restaurant and event venue. This central location provides easy access to guests who want to uber from Austin’s South Congress area and Travis Heights.

Romantic, Austin classic, vintage, southern, and culinary feast are a few words that come to mind to describe Mattie’s Austin. This is the perfect Austin wedding venue for someone looking for a garden party feel. The outdoor lawn is lush during a warm day and in the evening the outdoor string lighting is inviting and romantic. The interiors of the venue have a classic southern feel with a modern elegant interior decor style. One of my favorite things about Matties is being able to capture romantic and ethereal images in all the indoor AND outdoor spaces throughout the property. From a photographer’s perspective, this is one of my favorite romantic Austin wedding venues.
