Prospect House Wedding Style

Prospect House is an architectural daydream right in the Texas Hill Country. The space blends the natural scenery with an open air concept space to embrace the nature around. My personal favorite aspect of this venue is the gorgeous soft light throughout the interior. It has a modern feel but will no doubt remain timeless in photographs. I’ve seen the space completely draped in gorgeous wall panels and used in a more minimal way, and the space always shines. You and your guests will enjoy breathtaking views. Another favorite aspect of having a Prospect House wedding is the accessibility once you’re on site. The ceremony space, cocktail area, and reception room are all in close proximity to each other, allowing for a private intimate feel throughout your wedding.

Location

Prospect House is located 22 miles away from downtown Austin in Dripping Springs, Texas. I consider it to be an Austin/Hill Country wedding venue with most guests opting to stay in downtown Austin. The venue is located along Fitzhugh Rd which has become a hub for local breweries and distilleries. Eventhough Fitzhug has several wedding venues, the area within Prospect House offers a private feel. While the venue offers ample parking most couples opt for shuttles to transport guests to and from Austin.

Capacity

The venue accommodates up to 220 people and rental includes the space for the entire day from 10am-12am. A delightful bonus to this venue is that in the event of rain, there is plenty of space to host an indoor ceremony while still keeping a scenic backdrop in the breezeway area of the venue. You’ll likely have seen the striking square ceremony sculpture with a picturesque hill country background in photos… it’s a unique look you can’t miss. While most couples will opt for this as their ceremony, there are also a few other options that include a ceremony within the breezeway or the alternate outdoor area filled with oak trees.
